Reflection The Unknown Hero: I put this story on my website because it is one of the first stories I wrote. I wasn't as good at writing then, but I still like it. I think it was a little unrealistic, going from so shy to so brave. I should have put an attention grabber. It also might have been nice to make it longer with more detail.
Reflection Demi-gods: I added this story because it is the longest and best I have ever done. It is based on Rick Riordan's Percy Jackson series, so credit to him. I still have to add more to the story, but I don't know if I will for a while. I think some of my chapters were too short. Otherwise, I really liked the story. |
Reflection Street Kids: I chose to put this story in because I think I used a lot of creativity. I really liked the story. I also got some great reviews from friends. My favorite line is when I talk about the gazelle on steroids. I don't even know how I came up with that.

Reflection The Flying Saucer: I chose to put in this story because it was our benchmark. I am sure it is not the best of my work, but I like it just the same. I think it was pretty good considering we had a prompt. I also had small knowledge about space travel, but I used what I had. We had watched a video in class, so that helped.

Journal:
R. Role: Ninja
A. Audience: Daimyo
F. Font: Letter
T. Topic: Telling of a successful sneak attack
Dear Master Daimyo,
I, Ninja Jakuson, and my partner, Ninja Jiresu, have successfully captured your rival Daimyo Mushu’s castle. It may be small, but it did pack a lot of punch. We entered at the dead of night. Mushu’s samurai were mostly asleep, but they still had many guards. We easily took out the first two samurai with our ninja stars. After donning their armor and taking their katana, we set off towards the drawbridge. We thank you for the training with the katanas, because it would have been hard without it. We walked across the drawbridge and entered the castle. We took the place of the two watchmen, and soon we had convinced everyone to go to sleep. When we could see the sun’s ray peeking out, we signaled towards the forest. Your army of samurai appeared, and with everyone asleep, they had no trouble taking the castle. We will be home with his head by nightfall.

Reflection RAFT Writing: I chose to put this in my ePortfolio because it was a very fun piece. We got to choose a role in Feudal Japan, and I chose a ninja. I believe this piece demonstrates my ability to morph into any role, because I had just learned about the real ninja. My favorite line is, "After donning their armor and taking their katana, we set off towards the drawbridge" because it shows how I had learned about Samurai.

I chose to put this biography in my portfolio because I think it is the best biography I have ever made. It was very fun, and not that hard to make. I made a plan for it, then it just all fell into place. One thing I missed it that I never mentioned anything about his children, I didn't even find out if he did.
